We share our philosophy on the financial world.  We clearly define the goals that you would like to achieve during your lifetime.  It is this list of goals that will guide the rest of your planning process.


We understand and clarify your financial data.  We will then use The Living Balance Sheet® to give us a clear starting point to assess your finances. 


A thorough analysis of your Protection domain.  We provide an assessment of how well you are protected from a number of risks, and discuss how those exposures could affect your other financial domains.


We examine your current path in relation to the goals you laid out in the Vision Builder meeting.  This serves as a basis of comparison to measure the effectiveness of other potential strategies.  We will weigh factors like protection, flexibility, risk tolerance, taxes* and inflation as we simulate various strategies unfolding across your financial timeline. 


Once the optimal strategy is agreed upon, we will narrow our focus to the tactical changes needed to implement the strategy.  The nature of this meeting is always dictated by the strategy that precedes it, but it will routinely include changes to various insurance and investment programs or execution of legal documents.


We will look back to assess how far we’ve come through the course of our work together and evaluate our progress towards achieving your goals. Upon successful completion of the process, we hope to have the opportunity to offer the experience to others you identify as good candidates.

In our first meeting we will design the vision for what you would like your retirement to look like. The Retirement Lifestyle Blueprint that we generate during this conversation will guide our discussions and decisions during the rest of the process.


At this stage we will bring your entire financial picture into focus. By clarifying your financial data, we will come to a place of common understanding about exactly how your financial world is currently structured - and what that means to you from a retirement income standpoint.


With full data in hand, we will take a closer look at how well your potential retirement income must be protected from the unique risks that exist during this phase of life. Retirees face challenges during these years that their working counterparts did not. For example, the worry of living too long, the short term timing of stock market returns, health risks, and interest rate risk are all risks specific to retirees. 


At this step, we will examine your possible options for generating income in retirement. This conversation will involve delving into the specifics of how to allocate and balance various financial products such as investments, annuities and insurance, as well as the details of how to tactically make withdrawals that are tax efficient and less risky so that you can feel confident about the amount and consistency of your retirement paycheck.
